K&N West Returns After 14 Years
By Brooke Franceschini, NASCAR
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The NASCAR K&N Pro Series West will return to Arizona’s Tucson Speedway for the first time since March 10, 2001 this Saturday for the NAPA Auto Parts WildCat 150.
Despite being away from Tucson for 14 years, experience at the .375-mile asphalt oval may be a factor in Saturday’s event.
Only one driver on the current entry list has competed in a K&N Pro West event at Tucson: 2001 race winner, Johnny Borneman. The 37-year-old Ramona, California, native passed Tony Schmidt on the final lap to win the event.
