NEW SMYRNA, Fla. –  Harrison Burton has turned the corner at New Smyrna Speedway.


The 15 year-old beat out Wednesday’s winner, Ty Majeski, to win his second Tower Sealants Super Late Model feature of the week.


The Huntersville, North Carolina, got off to a rough start with a wreck on Night 2 of the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing and came home with a 12th-place finish in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East race Sunday. But over the last three nights, Burton has two wins and a runner-up finish.

NEW SMYRNA, Fla. – Eric Goodale defended his Blewett Memorial 76 Tour Modified Title in the second night of Modified racing at New Smyrna Speedway.


Unlike last year, when late-race heroics earned him the victory, the 25-year-old, Riverhead, New York, native took the lead on Lap 50 and held off a late charge from Ryan Preece to take the victory on Night 6 of the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing.


“It’s just a good shout out to my team – they put a lot of hard work in,” Goodale said. It just feels great. To win a race in honor of John is extra special.”

NEW SMYRNA, Fla. – Harrison Burton was on cruise control Tuesday night.


The 15-year-old Huntersville, North Carolina driver dominated the 50-lap Super Late Model feature to earn his first win in the 50th Annual World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing.


Ron Silk won the 50-lap Modified feature. The Modifieds, a long-time staple of the track’s season-opening February event, kicked off the first of four nights of racing. Silk passed Ryan Preece with five to go and drove away with the win. Preece finished second.

The 15-year-old piloted his No. 16 NAPA Auto Parts Toyota to the top of the charts during qualifying Sunday evening with time of 18.318 seconds to earn his first 21 Means 21 Pole Award.


Earlier in the day, the Sherrils Ford, N.C., driver was the overall fastest at the practice for the Jet Tools 150.


Spencer Davis (18.350/) and Dominique Van Wieringen (18.359/) qualified in the second and third positions. While, Austin Theriault and Tyler Dippel rounded out the top five.

The 15-year-old, Sherrils Ford, N.C., driver posted the fastest overall lap in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East practice for the season opening Jet Tools 150 at New Smyrna Speedway. Gilliland ended last season in Victory Lane in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West finale.


Gilliland posted a lap of 18.393 seconds (93.949 mph) around the .48-mile high banked oval.
