DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Kyle Jones had the dream first season at Columbus Motor Speedway.


Not only did the 30-year-old from Germantown, Ohio, finishing the season at the top of the Late Model standings at the Ohio track, Jones also earned the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Ohio championship.


Jones collected eight wins and 16 top fives in 19 feature race en route to his first NASCAR title.

You couldn’t be more wrong.


In fact, Rogers earned his third consecutive NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Florida championship in 2015, and has no plans to stop racing his super late model anytime soon.


“When I quit enjoying racing, I’ll quit,” Rogers said. “But I still love it.”

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Matt Piercy knew at a young age he wanted to follow his dad’s footsteps and drive a race car at Hickory Motor Speedway. 


The 21 year-old Mechanical Engineering major at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte can now add 2015 Hickory Motor Speedway Track Champion to his resume.


Piercy battled another second-generation driver in Landon Huffman throughout the season and used consistency to win his first NASCAR Whelen All-American Series track championship in the Bojangles Late Model Division on the .363-mile track.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Consistency was the key in 2015 for Nick Heywood as he repeated as NASCAR Whelen All-American Series track champion at Airborne Park Speedway.


Heywood secured another title behind two wins, 15 top fives and 18 top 10s across 19 feature races in the J&S Steel Modified division at Airborne. It was his fourth-consecutive crown at the .4-mile asphalt oval in the Adirondack Park region of Plattsburgh, New York, and second under the NASCAR banner.

ROSEVILLE, Calif. – Gracin Raz added another accomplishment to his impressive rookie season.


The 18-year-old for Lake Oswego, Oregon, won his first NASCAR K&N Pro Series West 21 Means 21 Pole Award at California’s All American Speedway during qualifying for the Toyota/NAPA Auto Parts 150 presented by Axle Crutch.


Raz piloted his No. 27 Montana Tech Ford to the top spot with a time of 13.713 seconds (87.421 mph). He was just .124 seconds off from breaking the track’s qualifying record set by Jason Bowles in 2009 (13.589 seconds/67.576 mph).

THOMPSON, Conn. – Doug Coby has the inside track, in more ways than one, as he looks to defend his NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour title in Sunday’s Sunoco World Series 150 at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park.


Coby, who is tied with Ryan Preece for the championship lead, took home the Coors Light Pole Award Saturday at Thompson and will start from the front row in Sunday’s season finale. A lap of 18.566 seconds (121.189 mph) secured Coby his 10th career pole and sixth of 2015. It’s also his third in the last three events.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – With only two races remaining in the 2015 NASCAR K&N Pro Series West, the battle for the championship will be in full force at California’s All American Speedway Saturday.


The top three championship contenders are within eight points of each other, with Sunoco Rookie of the Year candidate Noah Gragson sitting atop the standings with 438 points. Chris Eggleston trails by two points while fellow rookie Ryan Partridge is eight points back.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – William Byron can add another accolade to his resume.


The 17-year old, Charlotte, North Carolina, native and 2015 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East champion became just the fifth driver to win the Sunoco Rookie of the Year title in their championship season.


Byron edged HScott Motorsports with Justin Marks teammate Dalton Sargeant on a tiebreaker to earn the honor. Both finished with 99 points in the rookie standings and Byron earned the Rookie of the Year by virtue of finishing higher in the overall standings.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Twenty-two drivers have three days to compete for a spot in the motorsport industry’s top driver development program, the NASCAR Drive for Diversity (D4D), set to commence at Langley Speedway in Hampton, Va., Oct. 19-21, 2015.


Now in its 12th year, the annual Combine invites promising ethnically diverse and female drivers, ages 14 to 26, from across North America to test their skills over a three-day period in order to identify members of the NASCAR D4D Class of 2016.
