LOUDON, N.H. – Doug Coby earned a season sweep of Coors Light Pole Awards at New Hampshire Motor Speedway when he took the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour’s top qualifying honors for the F.W. Webb 100.


Coby, of Milford, Connecticut, posted a fast lap of 29.130 seconds (130.752 mph) to notch his eighth career pole overall and third at the 1.058-mile oval. It was his fourth Coors Light Pole of the 2015 season, which includes the Whelen Modified Tour’s first trip to NHMS in July.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Friday was a special day for NASCAR Whelen All-American Series competitors Kyle Purvis, Patrick Thomas, Grant Brown and Jack Kirby.


Those four drivers were officially notified they are all now NASCAR champions.


After a season worth of racing and a week of waiting, the final results were released for the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Division II-V championship standings.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — It’s fitting Lee Pulliam took the call informing he was once again a national champion while on a lunch break during a Late Model test day at a race track.


The 2015 itinerary for the Semora, North Carolina, native resembles the 1970s racers chasing national points all over the map. Pulliam ran 51 races at seven different tracks – winning at six of them – in four different states over a nine-month period.


When he wasn’t at a race track, he was in his race shop.

CONCORD, N.C. – Motor Racing Network – “The Voice of NASCAR” – is highlighting its fall schedule with a pair of broadcasts to showcase some of stock car racing’s rising stars.


MRN will air season-ending races in both the K&N Pro Series East and West, two of the sport’s top developmental tours. The Drive Sober 125 K&N East season finale will air on Friday, Oct. 2, from Dover International Speedway.  Six weeks later, on Nov. 12, the Casino Arizona 100 at Phoenix International Raceway will bring the 2015 K&N West schedule to a close.

SOUTH BOSTON, Va. — Andy Seuss took a big step toward successfully defending his NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour championship Saturday night in capturing the South Boston 150 at South Boston Speedway.


It was the third win of the season and 21st of his career for the Hampstead, New Hampshire, driver. Seuss’ No. 11 Northeast Race Cars/Ideal Financial Chevrolet was out front for a race-high 142 laps for his third win on the .400-mile oval.

SOUTH BOSTON, Va. – The eventful week for Bobby Measmer Jr. continued Saturday at South Boston Speedway and this time it’s some good news for the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour competitor.


 His mother had cancer surgery on Wednesday and his team is featuring the name “Elijah” on his car to honor another cancer patient. 


Measmer was able to take his No. 74 Elijah’s Entourage Chevrolet to the front and win his first Coors Light Pole Award in qualifying for the South Boston 150.

The Hampstead, New Hampshire native drove his No. 11 Northeast Race Cars/Ideal Finance Chevrolet to the fastest overall time in both practice sessions with a time of 14.666 seconds (98.186 mph).

FRASERVILLE, Ont. – Gary Klutt is off to a fast start in his bid to secure Jostens Rookie of the Year honors as he turned in the fastest lap across two NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 practice sessions Saturday at Kawartha Speedway.


Klutt, from Halton Hills, Ontario, posted a quick lap of 17.605 seconds (76.683 mph) around the .375-mile oval. The fast time came in the first session of the day, which was temporary halted by precipitation.

SAN LUIS POTOSI, MEXICO – Rubén Rovelo picked up his third NASCAR Mexico Series win of the season and locked up the top spot in the upcoming Desafio Sunday.


Rovelo’s No. 28 G3C/GESTI Dodge held off the field in a green-white-checkered finish to capture the HAAS CNC 240 at Autódromo Potosino.


Rovelo, who led a race-high 92 laps, took the lead on the final restart from Rogelio López. Lopez wound up third, behind Rovelo and Homero Richards. Richards had been fastest in practice, but rain washed out qualifying Sunday morning.
