Tim Southers, NASCAR
SOUTH BOSTON, Va. – The eventful week for Bobby Measmer Jr. continued Saturday at South Boston Speedway and this time it’s some good news for the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour competitor.
His mother had cancer surgery on Wednesday and his team is featuring the name “Elijah” on his car to honor another cancer patient.
Measmer was able to take his No. 74 Elijah’s Entourage Chevrolet to the front and win his first Coors Light Pole Award in qualifying for the South Boston 150.
