DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Bruce Yackey has piled up the awards and accolades over the years. But the 50-year-old Greeley, Colorado, received a new honor in the offseason after collecting his sixth NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Colorado championship.


Yackey was recognized for his racing success by Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper during a trip to the state capital in Denver, where he was joined by Colorado National Speedway track operator Jim Nordhougen.
