This is right by Ford Field. I remember it looking much different back in the 80s.

Sometimes I have to stop and say, hey man that was 30 years ago…Not many things in this world that DONT change after 30 years. It puzzeles my brain sometimes…30 years… I lived in CA for the last 25 years, I was 23 years old and moving to Caly…. And there goes the #AmericanRevolution of the #MachineAge. I know not many of us remmeber but in the 50s and 60s and even 70s I think, #Detroit was a happening place and NOT what now looks like a #GhostTown

STAFFORD, Conn. – Prior to NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour qualifying Saturday at Stafford Motor Speedway, Ryan Preece said simply of his race car, “it’s good.” He spoke the truth.

Preece, of Berlin, Connecticut, laid down a fast lap of 17.960 seconds (100.223 mph) to score his 13th career Coors Light Pole Award. He just missed the tour’s track record – that he owns – by 0.036 seconds.

STAFFORD, Conn. – Very few NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour drivers have logged more laps at Stafford Motor Speedway than hometown favorite Woody Pitkat, who rode that experience to the top of the speed chart in practice for the NAPA Spring Sizzler 200.

Pitkat, of Stafford, post a fast lap of 18.104 seconds (99.992 mph) during the 75-minute practice session Saturday morning at the historic half-mile. A winner of 72 feature events at Stafford during his career, Pitkat won his first tour race there last August.

SOUTH BOSTON, Va. – When you are racing for $10,000 and bragging rights anything can happen, and it did Thursday night during the final lap of the Eighth Annual Denny Hamlin Short Track Challenge.

Danville, Virginia native, Timothy Peters avoided a spinning Lee Pulliam on the final lap of the green-white-checkered finish to claim his first win in the charity race at his home track.

Peters started second to Pulliam on Lap 208 and the two raced side-by-side for the lead at the white flag.
