Led Budweiser King Of Beers 150 Prep Session

THOMPSON, Conn. – The polesitter in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour’s last visit to Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park in June, Woody Pitkat is still finding top speed at the track.
Pitkat, of Stafford, Connecticut, posted a fast lap of 18.795 seconds (119.713 mph) around the .625-mile oval Wednesday afternoon to lead the 30-car field. Pitkat will be looking for his first Thompson win in tonight’s Budweiser King of Beers 150.
Todd Szegedy was just a tick off of Pitkat’s lap, with a run of 18.796 (119.706). Donny Lia was third-fastest at 18.820 (119.554).
