Overcomes Black Flag To Grab Fourth Whelen Modified Win

THOMPSON, Conn. — Doug Coby’s march to a third NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour championship included a rally through the field Wednesday night.
Coby rebounded from a late-race penalty to take the Budweiser King of Beers 150 at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park. The No. 2 Dunleavy’s Truck & Trailer Repair/A&J Romano Construction Chevrolet took the lead on the race’s final restart with eight to go and Coby drove to his third straight win at the .625-mile oval.
