DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Jack Kirby has always been around fast cars.
He worked on street cars, and even restored some, but it was an opportunity from friend Bill McMurtry that opened Kirby’s eyes to the world of stock car racing.
Several years ago McMurtry gave the 44 year-old driver a ride in a two seater he built. Kirby had so much fun he decided to buy the car for himself.
